What size aperture do you recommend for offset printing at a high line screen frequency? My SpectroDens currently uses a 3.0mm aperture, and we use 300 lpi — that is not a typo.

If you have limited space for color bar or color control patch on the press sheet, you can switch to 1.5 mm aperture. But in general, the larget the aperture the more consistent the readings you will get since it provides more data for averaging for defects coming from the ink or substrate.
