Besides dE, do you find Spot Color Tone Value (SCTV) usefully when controlling spot color printing?

Yes. Just like dot gains for KCMY, the SCTV tells us if we are puttting the correct amount of spot color ink onto the sheet. This becomes more criticle if the artwork has vignette printed using spot inks, commonly seen in hair color boxes or cosmetic products.
