Sr. Software Developer – Hybrid Solutions

Techkon USA is a small, nimble high-tech company north of Boston that is building on the reputation of a globally respected design/manufacturer of color measurement instruments. Utilizing these instruments as a backbone for growth in the US and South America, Techkon USA is developing next-generation hybrid hardware/software solutions for commercial printers, packaging printers, and industrial materials manufacturers (such as flooring, metal extrusion, and other industrial design elements) who are looking to transform their color quality control processes and operations.

This is a job for the candidate who is happiest when a work week is full of unique opportunities to exploit their expertise in C#/.Net and IIS on one day and take on the challenges of integrating components of front-end GUI designs, backend SQL server applications, and administrating web services the next. You’ll be joining a multi-disciplined engineering team who is changing the way the world thinks about color science innovation and automation. Our mission is to transform the industries we serve one hardware installation and one software seat at a time as we roll out a variety of standardized and custom solutions.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer at Techkon USA your opinion and experience will matter. This is a not a software engineering job where you’ll feel lost or under-appreciated. You’ll be asked to support customer endeavors and to be a key contributor of ideas and code that will impact our growth, and the success of our customers, right away.

Required Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience developing integrated software solutions
  • Strong experience/working knowledge of:
    • Amazon Web Services (AWS)
    • SQL Server, IIS, Web Services, Web API
    • Microsoft C#/.NET
    • TypeScript, Angular
    • Microsoft Visual Studio
    • Database design, development, implementation

The ideal candidate will also be experienced in:

  • GUI design and development using WinForms
  • C, C++,
  • Highcharts
  • SVN source control
  • Photoshop and/or GIMP


Company/Work Location: Techkon USA is located in Danvers, MA and the ideal candidate will be located in the greater Boston area. Part-time to full-time virtual employment is a possibility, however, for the right candidate. Temporary contract work preceding permanent employment is also a possibility.


Salary: Commensurate with experience.


Reports to: This position reports directly to the CEO/Founder/CTO.
